The focus of SMARTS™ Washington is empowering businesses to seamlessly integrate machine learning and AI into automated decision making. In a nutshell, through SMARTS™, business analysts can effectively combine strategies, analytic models, and business rules and manage them in a single environment.
Vienna 2.0
Our previous release, SMARTS™ Vienna, focused on making decisions more understandable. SMARTS™ Washington takes many of the new capabilities in Vienna to the next level. These enhancements include the following:
- Extended support for Business Terms, custom defined business concepts that simplify rules authoring and maintenance
- Additional functionality to Interactive Tree Model, a modeling tool that enables users to interact with data to build, test, and deploy decision trees in a completely transparent manner
- Ability to create and modify dynamic questionnaires in addition to other project assets through AI Assistant, an interactive, LLM-based, generative AI tool
Machine Learning and AI for Business Analysts
In addition to the enhancements to Interactive Tree Model and AI Assistant, SMARTS™ Washington introduces two new capabilities in operationalizing AI. First, users can use our new fairness and explainability tools on the models they develop in SMARTS™ to uncover hidden AI biases and understand what inputs contribute the most to decision outcomes. Second, users can now upload, invoke, monitor, and manage models written in Python, the most popular computer programming language in Data Science.
Advanced Decision Management Capabilities
Finally, SMARTS™ Washington introduces advanced support for decision management. Key updates include the following:
- Repository Time Travel
- Traceability at the sub-decision level
- Customizable read-only fields
- More granular Access Control
- Easier navigability
